Privacy Policy

md.too does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Read your .md files, export PDFs, move on.

Effective May 2026

What we collect

Nothing. md.too operates without analytics, crash reporters, advertising IDs, or user accounts. There is no backend. There is no database of users.

What stays on your device

Every Markdown file you open, every rendered preview, every PDF you export — all of it stays on your device. The app does not phone home. There is no telemetry. When you delete the app, everything is gone.

Network access

The only network requests md.too makes are HTTPS image fetches for inline images that your Markdown source references — for example ![alt](https://example.com/foo.png). When you open a file with such an image, your device retrieves the image directly from the URL you wrote into the document. We do not see, log, or proxy these requests.

If your Markdown contains no inline image URLs, the app makes no network requests at all.

Permissions

md.too requests access only to:

The app never requests access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photo library, or anything outside what you hand it.

Children's privacy

md.too is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children — or, for that matter, from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
