Privacy Policy

Talking Frog does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. You talk to a frog; the talking stays on your device.

Effective June 2026

What we collect

Nothing. Talking Frog has no analytics, crash reporters, advertising identifiers, or user accounts. There is no backend and no database of users.

Microphone and speech

The microphone is used only so the frog can hear your questions while a conversation is active. Your speech is converted to text on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. That audio is not recorded, saved, or transmitted, and the frog's spoken replies are generated on-device by a local AI model.

What stays on your device

Your conversation, the age you choose, and every setting stay on your device. The app does not phone home and sends no telemetry. When you delete the app, all of it is gone.

Network access

The only time Talking Frog uses the network is a one-time download of its AI "brain" model over HTTPS from a public host, on first run. After that the app works fully offline and makes no further network requests. We do not see, log, or proxy this download.

Permissions

Talking Frog requests access only to:

The app never requests your camera, contacts, location, or photo library.

Children's privacy

Talking Frog is meant to be kind and kid-friendly, and it collects no information from anyone โ€” including children. It is an AI toy that can be wrong or surprising, so an adult should supervise young children while they use it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
